WORKSHOP ON

Ab initio Electrons Excitations Theory:
Towards Systems of Biological Interest
DONOSTIA INTERNATIONAL
PHYSICS CENTER (DIPC)

Paseo Manuel de Lardizabal 4, E-20018
SAN SEBASTIAN/DONOSTIA (SPAIN)
21st September 2003 - 24th September 2003

Supported by

NANOPHASE
Research Training Network
Psi-k Programme
European Science Foundation

OVERVIEW:
The aim of this Workshop is to assess the present status of theoretical approaches to the study of spectroscopic properties of real materials, and explore their capability for applications in further systems with technological and biological interest. Due to the different methods used to tackle this problem (Many-Body Theory, Density Functional Theory, Configuration Interaction, semi-empirical approaches), this Workshop is intended as a way to promote links among scientists comming from different communities working or interested in electron excited states
