In order to achieve the objectives of communication between different disciplines and comparison of different approaches to excited-state calculations in biological and complex systems, the general style of this meeting will be informal with sufficient time for discussion. Due to this reason, we intend to limit the participation to less than 90 people. If you are interested in attending the Workshop, please send an email to any of the organisers. A preliminary program is already available in this site.
Each day of the workshop will be divided into a morning session (9:30-13:00) and an afternoon session (15:30-19:00). Invited talks are allocated 30 minutes, plus additional 10 minues reserved for discussion. Contributed talks will last 15 minutes, plus five minutes for discussion. There will be a poster session on Monday 22nd, and a focussed round-table on Tuesday 23th.
A living allowance will be available to invited participants, and a contribution to travel expenses will be made for non European invited participants. Some bursaries for European Ph.D. students and postdocs will be available. The NanoPHASE Research Training Network will finance the participation of the NanoPHASE members.
Participants may book accommodation by themselves. However, there is an special arragement between the Donostia Interantional Physics Center (DIPC), the Hotel Costa Vasca (not the Hotel NH Aranzazu, as announced previously), and the Residencia Olarain (both located nearby). Hence, we do suggest the accommodation in such places. In this case, if you give your agreement, the Organisation can made the booking for you. The price per person and day (including breakfast and taxes) is approximately 80 euros (Hotel Costa Vasca) and 40 euros (Residencia Olarain).
The conference fees are: 175 euro for senior scientists, 125 euros for post-docs, and 100 euros for graduate students. Payment could be made upon your arrival.
Do no hesitate to contact any of the organisers if you have any query and/or question
