The Young Researchers Meeting 2012 (YRM2012) will be held in Brussels, from 21st to 25th May 2011. Preliminary information may be found on the website, http://yrm2012.etsf.eu.
The novelty in this YRM edition is the organization of an industry day with speakers from various R&D departments. The aim is to foster the exchange of knowledge and experience, and to gain insight into the needs of the private sector. Such a framework hopes to encourage future collaborations and to give the opportunity to initiate new projects of industrial interest. Such interaction has proven to be very fruitful, as emphasized in the summary of the workshop: "Theory Meets Industry - the impact of ab initio solid state calculations on industrial materials research."
And finally, for your information, the event will happen in the brand new buildings of the ECAM school in Brussels, which will provide us with state of the art facilities to give high-class oral presentations and present posters. Lodging will probably take place in the center of Brussels so as to facilitate social activities.
